Notaro is a small, fast desktop app for keeping notes offline. Notes are written in Markdown and stored in a single SQLite file on your computer: no cloud, no account, and easy to back up or move.
You edit notes in place with formatting shortcuts, #tags, links between notes, and find and replace inside a note. Thousands of notes stay easy to browse: filter by text, tags or date in the calendar, sort by date or title. It's built with tinyjs (https://tinyjs.app/) and React, runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and is open source: https://github.com/zmila/notaro-r
